Thank you to all Bienestar Residents who filled out the survey! Your responses helped us ask the questions that matter most to you and your families. Here are answers to the most common questions:

What are the side effects? Overall body aches and fatigue are commonly reported, lasting 1-2 days and mostly after the second shot. Soreness in the arm may occur – have an ice pack ready in case. Your body is building antibodies and the side effects mean that your immune system is working.

When can everyone get it? The vaccine will be available to every Oregonian over 16 years old as of May 1.

Vaccines have not yet been approved for children but clinical trials have begun.

How safe is the vaccine? All three vaccines have gone through rigorous testing and have been found to be safe. Learn about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine by clicking here for Spanish & here for English.
