Addressing the need to serve individuals experiencing homelessness
Bienestar’s Supportive Housing Services (SHS) program provides outreach, housing navigation, and supportive housing stabilization services to community members experiencing homelessness, with the goal of placing clients into permanent, stable housing.
With funding and support from Washington County, the program leads with racial equity and offers culturally responsive, trauma-informed services proven effective at keeping families housed.
Services include:
- Outreach and engagement
- Shelter and transitional housing
- Supportive housing stabilization, including one-on-one case management and crisis support.
- Wraparound services - Health services, essential supplies, peer support services, benefits navigation, and legal services.
- Access to long term rent assistance vouchers
A STABLE PLACE TO CALL HOME
Our client, Adrian Lopez, was living on and off in a tent in his sister’s backyard when he came into Bienestar’s supportive housing services (SHS) program. Thanks to his work with our SHS Team he was able to move into safe, stable housing.
