Future Developments

Nueva Esperanza

A partnership with Housing Development Center (HDC)

150 units

Located just across from Hillsboro’s NE 53rd Ave Park, Nueva Esperanza will be a housing community for 150 low-income families in an amenity-rich neighborhood. Proximity to the park, transit, and quality onsite amenities will make Nueva Esperanza a wonderful place to live. Inspired by Hillsboro’s rural history and the lack of quality affordable housing that many Latinxs experienced in the past, Nueva Esperanza will provide “new hope” for immigrant families and others that come to Hillsboro to work and build for the future.

Plaza Los Amigos

A partnership with REACH CDC

113 units

Just north of Cornelius’ Fred Meyer Store, Plaza Los Amigos will provide 113 new affordable homes for families and individuals living in the area. Rooted in Cornelius’ history, Plaza Los Amigos will provide stable housing in Washington County’s most racially diverse city. The project name honors “Los Amigos Club,” a mutual aid society that helped migrant workers, and the building design evokes Cornelius’ rich history. The project site also includes a park and future walking trail along an old rail line.

The Mary Ann

Through a partnership with REACH CDC, Bienestar will provide onsite services and programs to future Mary Ann residents. The Mary Ann project will be a four-story affordable apartment building located on Main Avenue between 1st and 2nd streets in Old Town Beaverton. It will be home to low-income families with children, with incomes at or below 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Project completion is anticipated for September 2021.
