Una Noche de Bienestar
Join us on December 7, 2023 at Holocene for an entertaining and inspiring evening of Latinx music, art, culture and community! Latinx performers, Palmas del Sol and Mariachi Mexico en La Piel, will take the stage in a musical celebration of Bienestar’s legacy of building affordable housing, hope and community for the wellbeing of Latinxs, immigrants and all families in need.

Broke ground on Nueva Esperanza
“Fifty years later, the hope is being realized.” – Hector Hinojosa
Project advisor and community activist Hector Hinojosa delivered a heartfelt speech about the history of migrant farmworkers living in Washington County and the unsanitary, unlivable, and oppressive conditions they endured.
Co-Executive Director Hanna Osman of the Somali Empowerment Circle (SEC), a grassroots organization, spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony as well. “Bienestar showed us what can happen when passionate community members come together to create long lasting change, and truly embody allyship to bring a sense of belonging, ” Hanna shared.
“Through our youth and women engagement, we were able to provide critical, culturally relevant feedback to Scott Edwards Architecture. It was great to hear and see the designs that Bienestar provided because they aligned with our Somali community as well.”
