Community Voices Storytelling Panel, October 13, 2021

Community Voices Part 2: Storytelling Panel. Featuring stories from: Alejandro Ortega, Gracie Garcia, and Juan Carlos Aguilera.

Bienestar’s 40 year anniversary celebrations continue with Camino al Bienestar: Community Voices Storytelling Panel

Our second event of three this year honors the heroes near and dear to Bienestar’s advocacy and leadership work. The panel brings together Gracie Garcia, Bienestar’s Community Services Director and long-time community organizer in Washington County, Juan Carlos Aguilera, a former Bienestar Promotores Coordinator, and Alejandro Ortega, a current Bienestar resident of Montebello and Board of Directors member. The event will be moderated by Nathan Teske, Bienestar’s Executive Director.

Community Voices: Bienestar Storytelling Panel will be bilingual in English and Spanish and will feature the untold stories of how grassroots efforts and community organizing has shaped our work, brought families and communities together, and created  pathways to hope and prosperity for thousands of Latinx/Tejano immigrants and farmworkers and their families.

Join us on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm via Zoom during your lunch break and listen in on a great conversation!
