17 Jun Oregon reopening and the importance of getting vaccinated
Recently Governor Kate Brown announced that once 70% of Oregonians are vaccinated, the state will remove distancing rules, capacity limits and mask requirements in many situations. Right now, we are at 67.7%.
Perhaps because of this, it is more important than ever to get vaccinated.
According to data from the OHA, 98% of COVID-19 cases and COVID-19-related deaths in May 2021 occurred in people who were unvaccinated or had not completed their vaccination.
The best way to be safe and protect yourself and your family as the state opens up this summer is to get vaccinated.

*The vaccine clinic at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland will close permanently on June 19. Only second doses of the Pfizer or the single shot of the J&J will be administered during the clinic’s last week.
