12 Nov Stop the flu and COVID-19
Even though we are doing our best to stop the spread of covid-19 at Bienestar, cases are still on the rise in Washington County and in Oregon, including at Bienestar. We are also entering flu season, and doctors are worried that treating more people for the flu will limit the scarce resources available to care for people with covid-19.
That’s why it’s more important than ever to continue what you’re doing to keep Bienestar safe and healthy. Wear a mask, keep 6 feet apart from people outside your bubble, stay home if you feel sick, and wash your hands frequently. These actions can help stop the spread of germs and viruses that cause both the flu AND covid-19.
You can get vaccinated at your health clinic or most pharmacies, like Rite Aid or Walgreens. Cost will vary depending on insurance. If you don’t have a provider or health insurance, call the Washington County Health Care Resource line at 503-846-8851.
And if you need any support or have questions about COVID-19, please call Bienestar’s emergency hotline at 503-693-4639 to be connected with staff who can help you.
