18 Oct The new Bienestar team is now complete!

The new Bienestar team is now complete! Gustavo Martinez joined Bienestar a few weeks ago as Office Manager and Asset Builder. Gustavo comes with a long history with the Bienestar community, having lived in Bienestar housing with his family and being one of our first graduates of our Education Navigation and youth IDA program. Gustavo comes most recently from Point West Credit Union, and has a strong grounding in financial education and asset building As a bonus, Gustavo’s mom, Hilda Perez, is one of Bienestar’s star Promotoras.

Bienestar also welcomes Erica Calderon, our new Housing Development Manager.  Erica will help Bienestar move forward on housing development projects and work with the organization’s leadership to develop a strategy and pipeline for our housing development agenda. Erica comes to Bienestar with a strong background in homeownership and financial capabilities, and owns and operates her own business in Mexico.
