Homegrown: a Benefit for Farmworker Housing was an outstanding success! We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Over $16,000 was raised to ensure working families will continue to have access to education, skill and asset building programs at Bienestar. Former residents, and new home homeowners, Veronica and Jose’ who shared their story with guests, will continue to receive a hand to help them reach their potential. See their video HERE
On Saturday, September 20th more than 100 friends of Bienestar joined us at the beautiful Montinore Estate in Forest Grove to enjoy wine, a winemaker’s presentation, silent auction, and great live Jazz. Tasty food was provided by Recetas Para Éxito, Bienestar’s own culinary skills training course and catering service/social enterprise. The women of that program did an outstanding job, turning out delicious food, elegantly presented.
