The incomparable Esperanza Spalding will play at a benefit concert for Bienestar on Saturday, November 17th. Join us for An Evening of Esperanza: Building Hope in the Immigrant Community at Ecotrust in downtown Portland, Nov. 17th from 6pm – 9pm.

This event is a celebration of the resilience and strength of our region’s immigrant community to benefit affordable housing developer Bienestar. Food will be served, wine and beer will be poured, and Esperanza Spalding will perform, as will Denzel Mendoza Trio and Integrantes Del Coro de la Iglesia de San Mateo.

At An Evening of Esperanza: Building Hope in the Immigrant Community, you will have the opportunity to hear Esperanza Spalding speak about Bienestar’s work and meet our Promotoras, leaders from within our resident community who are helping to make this event a reality.

All proceeds go to support Bienestar’s work building affordable housing for the Portland metro area and to support the Promotores leadership development program for Latinas. The stories of our Promotoras have inspired some of Esperanza’s songs.
