02 Nov When you should get tested
Knowing you have COVID-19 is important so you can take care of yourself and prevent your family and Bienestar neighbors from getting sick. Here’s the 101 on getting tested if you may have been exposed to coronavirus.
WHEN YOU SHOULD GET TESTED
If you feel sick. You should get tested if you have any of these symptoms: cough, shortness of breath or trouble breathing, muscle or body aches, chills, headache, fever, new loss of sense of smell or taste, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
If you were in close contact with someone who has COVID-19. Close contact means being within 6 feet of someone for 15 minutes or more, with or without a mask. It’s best to wait 3-4 days after you were together before taking a test because your results may not be accurate if you get tested too soon. You should stay home and away from others while you wait.
