28 Sep School Safety
After nearly a month back at school, we hope students are happy to be back and learning in person. Here’s a refresher on what schools in Washington County are doing to keep your children safe:
- Masks
- Handwashing
- Physical Distance – “Superhero Arms”
- Cohorting – doing all activities in small groups that remain together over time, with minimal mixing of groups
- Ventilation and circulation – outdoor activities are better than indoor; maximize airflow in enclosed spaces
- Isolation and quarantine after known exposure
- Routine cleaning and disinfection
Are teachers and staff vaccinated? All staff are required to be vaccinated by October 18, unless they have a valid medical or religious exception in place.
