Bienestar, it\u2019s time to \u2014 safely \u2014 celebrate! From September 15 – October 15, National Hispanic Heritage Month will honor and celebrate Hispanic and Latinx cultures with festivities, fun and educational activities and traditions! 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Grito Community Festival <\/strong>kicks off the month <\/strong>at Shute Park in Hillsboro on September 18th! <\/strong>Celebrate El Grito, Mexico\u2019s Independence Day, and the independence from Spain of Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras. Festivities include:

\u2705Kids\u2019 activities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705Hot food and vendors <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705Community booths<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705A traditional El Grito de la Independencia ceremony<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2705Lots of fun!
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good health and safety are part of the party so vaccines will be available at El Grito by Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center’s mobile vaccine clinic.

The event, hosted by the City of Hillsboro and Centro Cultural, will begin at 3 pm and go until 8 pm, at 750 SE 8th Avenue, Hillsboro. Click Here<\/a> for more information.
